Specifically, Salicru has supplied the new Sports Medicine Centre with a total of five systems (of various power ratings) in the SLC ADAPT range and four systems in the SLC TWIN PRO2 range. These will be used to protect the various facilities that form part of the new medical centre created by Quirónsalud, which is one of Spain’s leading medical groups and a regular client of Salicru.

Occupying over 12,000 m² of floor space within the Caleido Tower, the Sports Medicine Centre is an innovative facility that will offer all of the medical specialisations and technological advancements necessary to provide comprehensive treatment and care for sportspeople.

Reliability and superior electrical protection

Salicru’s SLC ADAPT series consists of modular UPS solutions with on-line double conversion, DSP control and three-level IGBT inverter technology. They are systems that ensure reliable, continuous, high-quality operation for services that require a high degree of electrical protection.

With a wide range of modules available (20, 30 and 50 kVA), different configurations (6, 8, 10 or 12 modules) and the parallel/redundant option of up to three 500 kVA systems, this series offers configurable solutions ranging from 25 kVA up to 1500 kVA.

As well as reducing the total cost of ownership (TCO), the “hot-swap” modules can be added or replaced during operation, thereby improving mean time to repair (MTTR) and reducing maintenance costs. In addition, the system’s remote management, which can be integrated into any platform, makes it easier to operate; while the extensive back-up options available, along with the smart battery charging, ensure the continuous operation of protected critical loads.

The series also offers redundant protection for critical applications such as data centres (of any capacity, including modular and virtualised data centres), IT infrastructure, and applications for critical processes.

Salicru’s SLC TWIN PRO2 series is a tower format UPS equipped with on-line double-conversion technology and the latest features, making it an advanced protection system for sensitive and critical loads such as those found in IT environments.

In order to ensure the availability of any type of load, the SLC TWIN PRO2 series boasts a high output power factor (PF=0.9), in addition to full control and access to status information via the LCD display and keyboard.

For facilities that require more back-up time, there is the option of back-up extensions via UPS devices with an extra charger and additional battery modules. Also of note is the Eco-mode option to improve the efficiency of the UPS, the EPO (emergency power-off) function, the option to operate as a frequency converter, and the built-in battery test.
