Salicru recently installed a range of energy equipment at Formatgeria Granja Rinya, one of Spain’s biggest cheese manufacturers. The collaboration included the installation of EQUINOX2 T inverters and an energy manager.
The photovoltaic system was installed in a new fresh cheese manufacturing plant and is managed by seven 100 kw EQUINOX2 T units and an SLC ENERGY MANAGER device. In the last year, thanks to the implementation of these technologies, Formatgeria Granja Rinya S.L. has already recouped more than one-sixth of its investment, with the Equinox app providing access to detailed data visualisation.
Formatgeria Granja Rinya is known for its commitment to quality and tradition in cheese making, using domestically sourced milk from its own and other carefully selected farms. With a family history rooted in cattle rearing, the company stands out for its focus on craftsmanship and authenticity in cheese production, and its collaboration with Salicru constitutes a logical next step in its ongoing commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency.
The installation of these energy devices underlines the importance of solar energy in industry, where photovoltaic systems offer significant benefits in terms of sustainability and carbon footprint reduction by drawing on a clean and renewable source that helps to reduce dependence on fossil fuels and lower greenhouse gas emissions. The implementation of solar systems also leads to a significant decrease in energy costs in the long term, which is beneficial for both the environment and the economic viability of businesses.
