Serpiscolor, a fabric printing specialist based in the town of Cocentaina (Alicante) operates several inter-connected industrial warehouses on the Jovadas Industrial Estate. To implement the project, the company collaborated with Electro Aldesa, an energy engineering company from Alicante that specialises in integrated renewable energy proposals.

As part of the photovoltaic project, a total of 880 450 Wp panels were installed on the roofs of the industrial warehouses, providing a capacity of 400 kWp and an annual output of 630 MWh, which will translate to a 25.7% reduction in the company's total consumption. In addition, the new installation will absorb the equivalent of 291 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year.

Energy at the service of productivity

To convert the solar energy generated by the panels installed at Serpiscolor into usable electricity, a total of 7 solar inverters with different power ratings (between 30 and 100 kW) from Salicru’s Equinox2 T series have been installed, giving the facility a capacity of 370 kWp.

Aesthetically, the devices follow the line of the EQUINOX2 single-phase range, with well-defined shapes and neutral colours, applied with a level of finish in keeping with such a high-quality product. The control panel has a large integrated OLED display, offering optimal visibility.

The three-phase EQUINOX2 T series ranges from 4 kW to 100 kW. With this comprehensive power range and a selection of MPPTs suitable for the most common applications, the EQUINOX2 T series is ideal for the vast majority of projects, whether in smaller premises, such as small shops or offices, or bigger ones, such as workshops, supermarkets and larger businesses.

In addition, the series offers monitoring of the photovoltaic installation through the free EQX-sun website and free app for smartphones and tablets. These online tools allow customers to oversee the current status of their photovoltaic system, view historical data and carry out real-time monitoring of the amount of photovoltaic power being produced, the amount being consumed by the loads, and the amount being consumed from (or injected into) the mains. The app also provides data regarding the cost savings achieved as well as the total reduction in CO2.
