Salicru has strengthened its collaboration with the publicly owned Catalan railway company Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), through the supply of a number of rectifiers for transformer centres, substations and auxiliary services.

For many years, Salicru has supplied Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems to FGC (in Catalonia-Spain company), which the company uses in the signalling control infrastructure for its various railway lines. The purpose of these UPS systems is to protect the devices that control the equipment for the signalling and points.
Now, after winning this latest contract, Salicru’s products will also form part of the company’s electrical infrastructure. Specifically, Salicru will supply a number of rectifiers from its DC POWER-L series, which will be used in 13 electrical substations on the FGC network.
The DC POWER-L series provides charging systems for stationary batteries, using microprocessor-controlled thyristor technology to offer exceptionally reliable and high-quality protection for critical DC loads.
As well as supplying the equipment to FGC, Salicru will also oversee its maintenance and setup in order to ensure optimum performance.
