Ono, the leading Spanish broad band communication and entertainment company and a customer of Salicru for more than a decade has once more turned to the company from Palautordera (Barcelona) to protect its fibre optic communication systems.  This time, SLC CUBE3 units have been supplied. These are three-phase Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems with double-conversion On-line technology and DSP (Digital Signal Processor) control.

Ono offers integrated internet, television and telephone services to its residential customers as well as high added value telecommunications services to small and medium-sized enterprises, large companies and institutions. The operator has a high-speed network deployed throughout Spain with capacity to give the most advanced telecommunications services. In order to offer its customers optimal service, it is fundamental that its network must enjoy the most advanced protection against alterations in the electrical power supply.

The SLC CUBE3 units installed with powers of between 15 and 80 kVA give protection to the signal amplifiers and fibre optic rectifiers. The project is complemented with the installation of a maintenance bypass and isolation transformer for each of the UPS, and a 24/24 maintenance service.

The SLC CUBE3 range, which was conceived with criteria of maximum efficiency and energy savings, includes powers from 7.5 to 200 kVA, and comes in a very compact format to make its location easier. The unit is built 60% with recyclable materials. In addition to this, for highly critical installations or facilities that require expansion, the units can be configured in redundant-parallel systems without any need for additional hardware. Their great flexibility and adaptability make them the best protection and security option for a wide range of installations, such as infrastructures, data centres, IT-networks, financial services, industrial processes and telecommunications.
