The year we have just left behind closes with the culmination of a very large project for Salicru, which consisted of installing 500 SPS ADVANCE Uninterruptible Power Supply systems (UPS) for the Banco Santander Spanish network of branches. The installed UPS were intended to protect the surveillance systems and closed-circuit television cameras (CCTV).
The security of both the people working in the bank branches and their customers is a priority for any banking institution. Therefore, Banco Santander has commissioned Salicru to guarantee the continuity of its video surveillance channel in the face of possible alterations or cuts in the power supply to these units, in order to enable effective, secure and interruption free monitoring.
The SPS ADVANCE, which is the most suitable model for the project, forms part of the line-interactive UPS range, with sinusoidal output waveform. Designed for easy user configuration, it is available in tower and 19” rack format. The front panel includes an LCD display and four push buttons for easy monitoring, as well as five measurers, three status indications and nine alarms. It also has Boost & Buck AVR stabilisation, advanced functions (Cold Start, Sleep Mode and HotSwap), fax/modem protection, RS-232 and USB, in addition to management software.
Offering innovative solutions to specific customer needs is one of the main axes on which Salicru’s strategy is based. Banco Santander thus adds to other Spanish banking institutions such as BBVA, La Caixa, Banc de Sabadell, CajaSol, Banco Popular, Caja Murcia and Banco de Valencia, which have commissioned Salicru with the protection of the power supply in their offices and branches. The more than 700,000 units up and running in business and industrial environments in a wide range of areas have given Salicru the experience and knowledge to allow it to offer solutions in the form of consultancy, engineering, design, manufacture and management based on customer needs.
