Salicru collaborates with the Open University of Catalonia and Pompeu Fabra University on the Master’s in Industry 4.0 course, in the specialisation of Company Digital Transformation. Our company provides a case study based on its business model and the needs and challenges it faces.
Salicru’s contribution is based on strategic product and service goals, taking into account the various disciplines involved in the design of its products, different technologies and business transformation aspects that are key to Industry 4.0. This allows students to work on problems of real industry and discuss and propose solutions to multidimensional issues: strategy, business, digitisation, innovation, computer security, business intelligence and data analytics.
The Master’s in Industry 4.0 is jointly organised by the Faculty of Computer Science, Multimedia and Telecommunications (EIMT) of the Open University of Catalonia (UOC) and the TecnoCampus Polytechnic School (ESUPT), a centre affiliated with Pompeu Fabra University (UPF).
Salicru’s participation in this Master’s course is an example of its commitment to digital transformation, as explained by Jordi Montero, the company’s R&D director: ‘Salicru’s involvement with this Master’s course fulfils a two-fold objective: to collaborate in the training of specialist engineers in the application of Industry 4.0 and, at the same time, to be able to obtain innovative proposals on the business model and the way of working with a product and market like ours. It is a three-way collaboration in which all of us - university, company and students - are the winners.’
