Salicru has supplied a total of 75 uninterruptible power supply (UPS) units from its SLC TWIN RT series to Dublin and Shannon airports in Ireland.
The 3 kVA units supplied, whose standard back-up has been extended, will be used to protect the airports’ critical Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems.
The SLC TWIN RT series, UPS units that feature On-line double-conversion technology, offers a set of optimum solutions for applications that require the highest level of protection against all kinds of electrical disturbances, such as power cuts, micro power outages, voltage and frequency variations, electrical noise, etc. They are compact units with all of the necessary features to provide a secure power supply for all types of IT applications, such as voice and data networks, CAD/CAM, document management, unified communications (UC) and video streaming.
This transaction was carried out by our distributor in Ireland, AES Ltd., and has enabled Salicru to supply Ireland’s two main airports with technological solutions for the first time. In 2013, Dublin Airport handled 20.2 million passengers and Shannon Airport 1.4 million.
