Salicru has supplied its SLC ADAPT2 modular UPS systems and DC POWER-L rectifiers to Etihad Rail’s new passenger service, a strategic infrastructure project that marks the beginning of a new era in the country’s rail transport system.

Uninterruptible Power Supply systems protect equipment from numerous mains disturbances, ranging from micro-cuts and voltage oscillations to harmonics and frequency variations, and in the extreme event of a power cut, they provide temporary power via batteries to ensure that equipment remains operational or is safely shut down.

Salicru has participated in a 3 MW photovoltaic project with a solution based on 10 kW three-phase solar inverters and dynamic tracking systems designed to maximise energy production and improve the asset’s profitability.

The latest project, at the Nejapa Hospital (San Salvador), involved installing a 120 kVA SLC CUBE3+ UPS to ensure an uninterrupted power supply for an MRI scanner in the X-ray department.

Salicru has developed a three-phase balancer capable of compensating for voltage imbalances, absorbing reactive power and mitigating harmonic distortion in low-voltage networks, in response to the impact of the current trend towards electrification.
