The solution installed at Nejapa Hospital responds to a specific need for electrical protection in a highly sensitive healthcare environment. The X-ray department now has a 120 kVA SLC CUBE3+ UPS designed to protect an MRI scanner, a critical load that requires stability, operational continuity and constant power quality to maintain service operation.

The project included the connection of a transformer to adapt the voltage available in the installation. The input was reduced from 480 VAC to 400 VAC to power the UPS, while the system output is raised again to 480 VAC, ensuring compatibility with the hospital’s electrical infrastructure and with the technical requirements of the protected medical equipment.

The SLC CUBE3+ is an on-line double-conversion UPS with DSP control, designed for applications where supply continuity is essential in daily clinical practice. Its power range reaches up to 200 kVA and it offers high efficiency in on-line mode, very low input and output harmonic distortion, voltage flexibility and the possibility of redundant parallel configuration, features that are particularly suitable for hospital installations.

The installation was carried out by Jahve Rafa, Salicru’s official distributor in El Salvador, which provides technical proximity and local knowledge to adapt the solution to the conditions of each project.

Salicru’s presence in the Salvadoran healthcare sector is complemented by other equipment already operating at Nejapa Hospital itself, where SLC TWIN PRO2 units are also in service, and by references in national hospitals such as Hospital Rosales, which has three SLC ADAPT2 3X480 units, one of 120 kVA and two of 200 kVA. This modular series can grow by modules and operate in redundant architectures, a key advantage in critical services.
