Salicru has started to build a new warehouse next to its production centre in Santa María de Palautordera (Barcelona), with the aim of expanding its current logistics capacity and boosting the distribution network for its finished products. The new warehouse is expected to enter into operation next spring.
With an initial investment of 4 million euros and the creation of 10 new jobs, the new building will have an area of 4,400 square metres and the capacity to house some 9,500 pallets containing products ready for distribution to the domestic and international markets.
The new warehouse will free up 1,500 square metres of space at the production centre, which will be used to expand the area dedicated to production activities. This will increase the centre’s current industrial capacity and strengthen Salicru’s leadership in the sector.
The new structure will complement the existing facilities at Warehouse 1, which was opened in 2019 and has the capacity to store 3,000 pallets.
In total, Salicru’s facilities at its headquarters in Santa María de Palautordera occupy an area of 18,000 square metres, which houses the firm’s production, commercial, technical and corporate activities, along with activities in the areas of R&D and connected software.
