Self-consumption for small and medium businesses
The EQUINOX2 T series is generally designed to be used both in small (such as small shops or offices) and in larger premises (workshops, supermarkets, medium-sized companies) that decide to take a big step towards green energy thus gaining autonomy of electricity supply, reducing in turn the cost of energy.
The solar energy received by the photovoltaic panels depends on several factors, such as latitude, orientation, inclination, irradiation, shadows, temperature, etc. As a consequence, it is necessary at every moment to identify the point on the V-I curve of the photovoltaic generator at which the inverter is operating, in order to operate at the maximum power, and this is achieved using the integrated MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracker) control.
This requires that the MPPT control has a wide voltage range, since this allows the system to operate at lower levels of irradiation and to generate more energy during each day.
All network inverters in the EQUINOX2 range come with a standard zero injection system that does not require additional devices. This system can be activated or deactivated according to the needs of each installation. This feature enables the output power to be regulated at all times, allowing or blocking energy injection into the grid without the need to purchase additional devices.
This function makes the EQUINOX2 inverter highly adaptable to a wide variety of grid configurations and systems of different capacities. However, it is important to note that it does not permit the use of the self-consumption without surplus mode set out in RD 244/2019. For this, the SLC ENERGY MANAGER device is required.
The free EQUINOX app and the website allow monitoring of the current status of the photovoltaic installation to consult log data and monitor in real time the photovoltaic power produced: consumed by load, consumed by the mains, or injected into it. The app also provides data regarding the cost savings achieved as well as the total reduction in CO2. Having the required options, EQUINOX allows you to activate the zero reinjection mode in your installation.
The SLC Energy Manager is the ideal solution for those who require comprehensive, round-the-clock monitoring and management of surplus energy, certified zero injection and the parallel management of multiple inverters. This device combines all these functions in a straightforward manner and is constantly updated with free software upgrades that adapt to new market requirements. Installation in three-phase systems is also facilitated by the intelligent automatic phase rotation system, which allows the phase to be correctly configured with the clamp with a single click.
The Equinox2 T-RV range is our revamping option designed to modernise existing installations, optimise their efficiency, and extend their service life. It includes all the advantages of the Equinox2 T range and compatibility with the SLC Energy Manager and the Equinox web/app.
