More than 200 Salicru Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems deal with assuring the continuity and reliability of the electrical power supply for the Aguas de Bilbao Consortium, the entity responsible for supplying drinking water and cleaning the waste water for more than a million inhabitants.
The UPS installed are mainly the SLC Cube3 and SLC Twin, in multiple, varied applications affecting practically all of the Consortium’s power management processes: from the water quality safety and control centres to the Waste Water Purifying Units, covering the computer equipment of the administrative department in the head offices. The type of contract deals with installation, but also permanent technical advice and maintenance.
The SLC Cube3 is a three-phase UPS with on-line double conversion technology available in powers from 7.5 to 80 kVA. Its main advantages are its very low harmonic distortion (THDi <1%), state-of-the-art DSP control, unit input power factor (PF=1.0), control designed to withstand all kinds of load, parallel-redundant capacity up to 8 units, Eco-Mode operation, flexible configuration (any combination of single phase/3-phase input and output) and a wide range of communication possibilities and autonomy solutions.
The SLC Twin is an on-line double conversion UPS available from 700 VA to 20 kVA, in single phase input -from 700 VA to 10kVA– and three-phase input –from 8 to 20kVA–, all with single phase output. It was conceived to give flexibility to the range of medium power UPS, where it is particularly important to combine good protection with capacity to adapt to the different applications. This range also enables growth in parallel up to 3 units, with or without redundancy, in order to enable constant upgrading depending on needs without having to change the UPS.
