The Portuguese company, an international benchmark in the manufacture of electrical cables, has trusted Salicru to protect its most critical industrial processes against any electrical incident.
With more than four decades of experience and presence in over 40 countries, Cabelte operates highly sensitive industrial environments exposed to grid disturbances. In this context, power outages, micro-outages or voltage fluctuations can result in unplanned shutdowns, production losses and risks to the quality of the final product.
The need to guarantee real continuity of supply has been key in defining the solution, which consists of an installation based on two modular SLC ADAPT2 Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, with power ratings of 175 kVA and 400 kVA, providing total protection of 575 kW for critical loads. Both units operate with online double-conversion technology, ensuring continuous supply with zero transfer time and a fully stabilised signal, and these specific units operate with 25 kVA modules.
Thanks to this solution, the factory ensures the continuity of its processes in the face of electrical incidents, improving operational reliability and reducing the impact of any grid disturbance. The implementation has been carried out by Salicru Portugal, a subsidiary present in the market since 1989.
