In recent months Salicru has supplied Iberdrola with a total of 20 devices from the DC Power-L family in order to guarantee the protection of several of its electrical sub-stations in Spain.
This is one of the devices specially designed to meet the technical specifications for this leading electrical company in Spain, and it was required to undergo a prior standardization process for its components and features. The supply of these devices is anticipated to continue in the future in order to cover the future demands of these electrical infrastructures.
What is a DC system?
When the rectifying elements, chargers and inverters are included in a single device, they make up what is called a Direct Current System, allowing for the connection of loads supplied in both Alternating Current and Direct Current. Said systems may store energy in a rechargeable battery, thus achieving an uninterrupted, constant supply.
Salicru’s DC Systems are equipped with a control to manage all of the parameters and communications ports in order to connect them to the outside world, thus allowing them to be included in the management software for remote management in order to be informed as to the equipment’s condition.
DC Power-L power systems are designed to protect loads of maximum criticality and to operate with nickel-cadmium or lead-acid batteries in harsh and demanding operating environments, such as electrical substations, power stations, oil and gas pipelines, petrochemical plants, mines, railways, telecommunications facilities or hospitals.
