In generation, we work with technologies capable of stabilising voltages that can easily exceed 20–25 kV in conventional or renewable power plants. Fluctuations originate here, at the first stage of supply, which is why we deploy solutions that guarantee safe start-up, continuous operation and power quality compatible with the most demanding industrial and administrative requirements. This also applies directly to generation itself, through our integrated solar energy solutions technology.
In transmission, we are dealing with lines operating at high and very high voltage, from 66 to 400 kV, where any deviation, however small it may seem, can have repercussions on a regional scale. Here we provide voltage transformation systems, uninterruptible power supplies and specialised power electronics that protect control centres, substations and the grid’s internal communications. Our role is to prevent an auxiliary failure from becoming a structural problem.
In distribution, within ranges from 1 to 36 kV, the grid approaches the point where energy becomes a service. This is the section most exposed to atmospheric phenomena, saturation and load variations. Our backup solutions —from UPS systems to stabilisers and rectifiers— support the operation of transformers, remote control systems and sensitive equipment, enabling homes, businesses, industries and essential services to receive a stable and usable voltage.
Every device, every architecture and every technological advance we develop has a single purpose: to ensure that electricity reaches where it is needed, with the required quality and without interruptions. Remote monitoring, redundant communications and predictive analysis make it possible to act before the grid is affected, turning reactive maintenance into preventive maintenance.
Customisation makes it possible to offer protection tailored to the specific needs of each customer, seamlessly ensuring the continuity and security of all their operations. In a world driven by electricity, having systems that guarantee uninterrupted, high-quality power supply is essential to prevent losses, failures and associated risks. At Salicru, we understand these needs through more than six decades of experience, and we provide our engineering team to design solutions and respond to the most demanding market challenges. For this reason, our tailor-made solutions are designed to adapt perfectly to the specific requirements of each project. We embrace flexibility as one of our core principles and offer customisations that always incorporate in-house developments, as existing market options rarely cover the specific requirements of each customer in a uniform way. To achieve this, we develop equipment from scratch or adapt existing systems, always under the most rigorous quality controls.
DC Systems are equipment that convert alternating current into direct current (rectifiers, chargers), or direct current into alternating current (inverters). These systems are capable of storing energy in a battery bank, providing continuity of DC supply or AC supply (via an inverter) without interruptions.
When rectifiers, chargers and inverters are integrated into a single unit, they form what is known as a DC System, allowing the connection of both AC- and DC-powered loads. These systems also include control units to manage all parameters and communication ports to connect them with the outside world, making it possible to integrate them into management software and perform remote management, providing information on the system’s status, alarms, events and measurements. DC Systems ensure flawless operation without unexpected supply interruptions. Depending on requirements, and with the possibility of a modular architecture, they can grow as needs increase, optimising the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
Salicru has exported 18 220 V DC rectifiers to one of Romania’s leading energy companies, which is in the process of upgrading its equipment. The rectifiers are modular systems that supply high-quality power to critical systems.
Salicru has supplied dozens of DC systems to the Neom project, including DC converters and rectifiers. The project’s aim is to create the city of the future: one which is designed to be a model of sustainability, innovation and progress for the rest of the world.
