These are two awards presented by amec Positive Industry, the association of internationalised industrial companies, which promotes industrial competitiveness through collaboration, innovation, openness to international markets and adaptation to economic and technological change.

The recognition was awarded by a jury comprising representatives of business, academic, technology, institutional and media organisations, including amec itself, CEOE, ESADE, Eurecat, the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, UNE, the Ministry of Industry, La Vanguardia and 3Cat.

Salicru’s CEO, Eduard Salicrú, received the award from Miquel Sàmper, Minister for Business and Labour of the Government of Catalonia, and Jordi García Brustenga, Secretary of State for Industry. During his speech, he highlighted that “adaptability is not an individual quality; it is the ability of an entire organisation to listen, learn and act”.

“At Salicru, we have been evolving for more than sixty years without losing our essence, which is that nothing important should stop. We have learned that adapting does not mean giving up who you are; it means finding a new way to uphold your values,” he said.

The distinction forms part of the Somos Industria Positiva movement, which advocates an industry committed to shared progress, people, territories and sustainability. Its five principles include anticipating, adapting, collaborating, glocalising and focusing on sustainability.

Salicru has highlighted that each market has different needs and that its international activity goes beyond exporting solutions: it involves adapting knowledge, technology and service to each local reality. Continued investment in R&D&I enables the company to anticipate changes and transform specific needs into robust and reliable energy solutions.

The recognition also highlights collaboration between the engineering, production, sales, quality and service areas, as well as the contribution of subsidiaries, partners and customers. “Adaptability only works when information flows and is transformed into improvement,” says Salicrú, adding that adapting also means acting responsibly: “designing equipment that is more efficient, durable, repairable and prepared to contribute to a more sustainable future”.
