The company of power electronic Salicru is in process to obtain the certificate for its Environment management system in accordance with the standard ISO 14.001. This standard establishes that any organisation –never mind the sector to which belongs, the size or country in which develops its activity – can carry out a responsible management with the environment, under the compliance of the basis of the national legislation and the continuous improvement of its tasks.

This action complements the Quality System certificate that Salicru obtained in 1995 with the ISO 9.001.

To obtain this credential, Salicru is developing an Environment Management System integrated into the Quality one, which is structured and adapted to assure both the manufactured products and the offered services are in harmony with the legal requirements. TheSalicru’s management has as a target to implement this integrated system–quality and environment –in any area of the company; to do it, there will be inspection mechanisms to guarantee the continuity of this policy.

The adoption of this measure responds to the concern of Salicru for the continuous improvement in environmental quality, by making tasks like: the adaptation of their designs, recycle promotion, to minimise and manage the residues, the energy consumption, etc.

The obtaining of the standard ISO 14.001 is a competitive advantage characteristic as much in the national market as in the foreign ones.
