Salicru protects the critical equipment of two new hospitals

Monday, 24 november 2008

Dr. Josep Trueta Hospital in Girona and Arnau de Vilanova Hospital in Lleida have entrusted Salicru with their energy security. The former has purchased 27 UPSs: these are 10 single-phase units, including the SLC 5000 LINK and SLC 8000 LINK models, with 5 and 8 kVA of power respectively. There is a second group of three-phase UPSs consisting of 17 SLC CUBE-STR models with 7.5 and 10 kVA of power.

In addition, the Hospital Arnau de Vilanova in Lleida has backed up its hospital equipment with 10 SLC CUBE-STR model UPSs of between 15 and 40 kVAs with their external maintenance Bypass.

The purpose of all these machines is to ensure the continuity of the electrical system within appropriate values in the facilities and critical equipment of hospitals including operating theatres, haemodynamics, emergency wards, intensive care units and intensive treatment units, delivery rooms, neonatal departments, endoscopies, haemodialysis, coronary departments, resuscitation, technical services, etc.

Salicru has a great deal of experience in the supply and maintenance of Uninterrupted Power Supply Systems to hospitals all over Spain. Some examples are: Vall d’Hebrón (Barcelona), Sant Pau (Barcelona), San Juan de Dios (Seville), Cruz Roja (Seville), Virgen Macarena (Seville), Clínico Universitario (Santiago de Compostela), Hospital Xeral Calde (Lugo), Hospital Universitario Virgen de la Arrixaca (Murcia), Hospital de Torrevieja (Alicante), Hospital La Fe (Valencia), Consorcio Hospital Provincial (Valencia), Hospital Clínico (Valencia) and Hospital Severo Ochoa (Madrid).
