Salicru has participated, together with its partner Power Systems International Limited, in the development of an energy solution aimed at the standardisation and maintenance of turf in top-level competitions.
Salicru equipment is involved in the design of a technical container used by FIFA for sharpening and calibrating the lawn mowers employed during official tournaments. This system ensures that all equipment strictly complies with FIFA standards in key aspects such as the type of machinery, the components used and the exact grass cutting height. The solution developed stands out for its global adaptability, an essential requirement for international competitions such as the World Cup.
The system integrates a multi-tap transformer that allows operation in both 50 and 60 Hz environments, as well as adaptation to different voltage levels depending on the destination country. This enables the container to be shipped and used anywhere in the world without requiring modifications.
Thanks to Salicru’s automatic detection technology, system operation is greatly simplified. Depending on the input frequency, the system automatically selects whether the converter should operate or whether the power is supplied directly through the transformer, facilitating operation and reducing the margin for error for the technicians in charge.
Power Systems International Ltd, based on the south coast of England, is one of the country’s fastest-growing independent suppliers of UPS systems and generator sets, working with major global companies throughout the United Kingdom. Its engineering team delivers state-of-the-art critical power solutions.
