The last two months of the year were highly prolific in installing and starting up new areas of ILUEST+ lighting flow dimmer stabilisers. More than 230 units are already operative in the Spanish municipalities of Humanes, Coslada, Rivas Vacíamadrid and Arroyomolinos in the Madrid area, and also on the A2 radial road and in Ribarroja del Turia, Chiva and Almoradí in the Valencia area, amongst others.
The whole of the power installed in these towns exceeds 4,600 kW, which represents annual savings of around 5,400 kWh, which on the energy bill amounts to savings of €485,000 and reduces CO2 atmospheric emissions by around 3,000 tons.
The installed ILUEST+ units have a slot and optional SICRES remote communications card, a device which along with the GPRS modem makes up a high level Internet connection telemanagement system. The intuitive user interface enables many things, including the monitoring, parameterisation and control of a full set of units by including zonal mapping for rapid location of the different ILUEST+, programmed sending of alarms and measurement in real-time by email and/or SMS, and the creation of an events log and monthly reports.
In addition to their safety and greater reliability in stabilising the voltage and reducing the light flow, these units contribute to extending the useful life of the lighting equipment in the streets and enable intelligent management of street lighting with savings of up to 40% on the lighting bill. Similarly, they improve citizens’ quality of life with uniform, comfortable, less polluting lighting. This all makes the ILUEST lighting flow dimmer stabilisers reference equipment in the large part of lighting projects, and the system has been applied in countries such as China, France, Poland, Tunisia and Morocco.
In the last fifteen years, Salicru has installed more than 15,000 ILUEST/ILUEST+ lighting flow dimmer stabilisers for street lighting in Spain, with potential joint energy savings of over 558,000 MWh a year, reducing CO2 by more than 130,000 tons and saving over 50 million euros.
