Salicru has always given support to local sport. Since 2013, two employees of the company, Pere Amadó, a mechanical engineer from the R&D department, and Ignasi Call, from technical services, along with three team mates from outside the company, also from the Baix Montseny area (Ramón Comulada, Sergi Sales and Xavier Xampeny), have been members of Salicru - MAASAI Team. In 2013, the team competed in over 50 recognised cycling events and achieved excellent results, the following of which particularly stand out: 2nd in the team classification of the Challenge Catalan Senior-Master 30, 2nd overall in the general classification for Pere Amadó and 3rd in the Senior category for Ignasi Calls; 3rd place in the Master 30 category of the Catalonia Senior-Master 30 Championship for Sergi Sales; and 6th place in the Master 35 category of the 19th European Cup and International Masters Cycling Week 2013 for Xavi Xampeny.

To Pere Amadó: “We are proud to be part of SALICRU - MAASAI TEAM, a team created in memory of a colleague, which achieves great results wherever it competes.” The main events in which the team is expected to participate this year and hopes to achieve excellent results are the Challenge Senior-Master 30 road race series and the Catalonian Cyclocross Cup, as well as MTB races and leading cyclotourist events.
