Salicru will participate in InnoTrans 2024, one of the most prominent events in the global railway sector. From September 24 to 27, Berlin becomes the epicenter of railway innovation, and we will be there to showcase our latest power electronics solutions, designed to improve efficiency and safety in railway infrastructures.
We are doing this alongside MAFEX, the Spanish Railway Association, of which we are members, a benchmark in promoting the Spanish railway industry in international markets.
InnoTrans 2024 is divided into five key segments: railway technology, railway infrastructure, public transport, interiors, and tunnel construction. With more than 42 halls and an outdoor area with 3,500 meters of tracks for the exhibition of trains and specialized vehicles, this event offers an extensive platform to learn about the latest trends and developments.
During these days, visitors will discover how our power electronics solutions are helping to shape the future of railway transport, offering reliability and energy efficiency in an increasingly demanding environment.

ADIF, the Spanish state rail operator, is looking to monetise its high-power electrified rail infrastructure – whose energy potential is currently under-used – by recovering braking energy from trains and installing charging points for electric vehicles (EVs) at 1,500 stations across the rail network. Salicru is developing a prototype system that will enter the testing phase in early 2024.
This project further strengthens Salicru’s position as a leader in energy solutions and reinforces its standing in the railway market. As part of a commitment to innovation and safety, Salicru has been selected to install devices in all interlockings not yet equipped with modular Uninterruptible Power Supply Systems (UPS).
Salicru has supplied different SLC ADAPT2 units for this infrastructure, and is providing technical training on the use of the equipment. These UPS will be essential in protecting the interlock, signalling and control systems over the 1,500-plus kilometres of rail track between Chiapas and Yucatán.
