Salicru has joined the Spanish Data Centre Association, otherwise known as Spain DC, as a partner. The association was created recently in order to promote the development of data centres in Spain, strengthen the economic growth of the sector and support its positioning as a core element of societal infrastructure through digital transformation.
SPAIN DC brings together Spain’s market-leading data centres and high-quality suppliers, including Salicru, which offers an extensive catalogue of solutions to improve their operation and performance.
Specifically, Salicru’s contribution to the data centres focuses on its range of modular Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, which offer efficient redundant protection for modular and virtualised data centres, whatever their capacity. Examples include the firm’s SLC ADAPT and SLC ADAPT2 series, the SLC X-PERT series for high-power critical facilities, and the SLC CUBE4 series with IoT solutions for medium-power edge computing, with virtualised environments and all of the associated critical processes.
The data centre sector is currently Salicru’s largest market segment, owing to the demand for cloud computing and the significant amount of data consumption at both the local level (edge computing) and on a broader scale (data centres).
Spain boasts Europe’s highest growth rate with regard to data centres, attracting levels of investment that may exceed 5 billion euros in the coming years. Spain is also a catalyst for attracting other investments in sectors with high added value, thus helping to make the country a hub for interconnection in southern Europe.
