Salicru has launched a new version of its SLC TWIN RT2 series of Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS). The new SLC TWIN RT2 LION offers the most reliable on-line double conversion technology on the market, with an output power factor of PF=0.9 and a format that adapts to suit any tower/rack environment, plus a wide range of communication options.

One of the sectors in which Salicru has accumulated a great deal of experience is aeronautics, both within Spain and internationally. This experience has recently been augmented by the agreement to supply various Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) to ENAIRE, Spain’s primary air navigation management body, which controls more than 2 million square kilometres of airspace.

Salicru has successfully completed the audit procedure for renewing its ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, which accredit the company’s quality and environmental management systems. It has also obtained ISO 45001 certification to accredit its implementation of an occupational health and safety management system to protect employees and visitors against workplace accidents and illness.

Increasingly, greater performance is being demanded from solar installations: not only in terms of their efficiency and the amount of power they supply, but also in terms of their versatility. With regard to power, the increase in self-consumption has led to the availability of a wider range of power ratings, in order to meet the needs of homes, commercial premises and small and medium-sized businesses.

Lithium-ion batteries offer considerable advantages over the valve-regulated lead-acid (VRLA) batteries that have long been used in Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS) as a backup power source. Indeed, lithium-ion batteries outperform VRLAs in key aspects such as their energy density, which gives them a longer range per unit of volume.
