Salicru’s maintenance contracts experienced constant annual growth of 7%

Tuesday, 24 may 2011

Like all electronic equipment, an Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) requires periodical maintenance to guarantee greater output in network disturbances and optimal results of stabilisation and protection from the first to the last. These kinds of services give added value to customers, who receive permanent, personalised and close advice from an expert team of 50 technicians distributed around Spain and Portugal, all with the utmost rigour and commitment.

Salicru believes this to be an important business area as it has brought in linear growth of 7% in recent years. Q1 2011 closed with more than 2,500 maintenance contracts covering a fleet of 4,300 units, mainly UPS.

Once the guarantee has run out, Salicru adapts to the needs of its customers with different forms of maintenance that contemplate preventive and corrective interventions. The first include an annual preventive visit in which the company’s specialised technicians make checks and the necessary adjustments for the systems to work properly. In the corrective maintenance, Salicru professionals work on equipment in the event of fault as often as necessary when called to do so by customers who have detected the problem and called the technical service. Depending on the contract, the technical assistance is given in working hours or permanently 24/365.

The fully comprehensive form of maintenance contract includes preventive replacement of all fungible elements, such as fans, condensers and batteries. In some cases there is also the possibility of telemaintenance, enabling the equipment to be controlled from a distance by automatic warnings to the control centre by e-mail or SMS, so the technicians detect the problem before the customers themselves and act in consequence to consider whether preventive and/or corrective action is best.
