- Fundamental operational continuity: Ensuring a flawless live broadcast to sustain the show’s quality and satisfy the global audience.
- Protection of sensitive sound equipment: Preserving the integrity of the music training centre’s high-fidelity sound equipment, which is vital for the talent show’s performances.
- Flexible electrical configuration: Ensure the ability to adapt the electrical infrastructure to various set configurations, which change dynamically with each episode.
- Advanced monitoring and management: Implement a solution that allows real-time monitoring and management of the electrical system to ensure a rapid response to incidents.
- Strategic implementation: Distribute the UPS systems so that each one covers specific areas, ensuring comprehensive protection throughout the centre.
- Continuous monitoring: Supervision of the equipment by technical personnel for the operation and maintenance of the SLC CUBE3+, ensuring their efficiency.
- Simulations: Conduct tests to simulate electrical failures, ensuring the system and equipment respond appropriately.
- Calibration: Testing of sound equipment to check its performance.
- Evaluation and upgrades: Regularly review the system to carry out any necessary adjustments or upgrades during the production run, which lasts more than six months.
Following the proposed diagnosis, we supplied the production company with three Salicru SLC CUBE3+ 40 kVA systems, which were distributed between the sets and spaces in the music training centre. These systems can adapt to significant load variations without compromising the power supply quality and are notable for their online double conversion technology with an output power factor of 1 (VA=W), optimising the delivery of effective energy to the load. These measures guarantee a consistent and uninterrupted power quality, protecting both live talent show broadcasts and the highly sensitive sound equipment. Its advanced remote management and monitoring interface facilitates an exhaustive control of the system’s status and performance, whether by in-house technicians or through Salicru Services.
- Enhanced operational resilience: The integration of the SLC CUBE3+ devices has proven to be a successful solution due to their ability to provide a constant, high-quality power supply and eliminate the potential for disruption to live broadcasts. In one case, the solution averted the consequences of a micro power outage, proving critical to the success of the live broadcast.
- Advanced equipment protection: The sensitivity of the sound and technology equipment used in both the talent show production and the music training centre called for a solution that could provide unprecedented power protection. The online double conversion technology of the SLC CUBE3+ has met and exceeded this requirement, protecting the equipment from any harmful variations in the electrical current and extending its service life as a result.
- Improved management and control: The remote monitoring and management capability of the SLC CUBE3+ systems has enabled tighter control and faster response times in the event of power fluctuations.
- Increased flexibility and adaptability: The flexibility offered by the SLC CUBE3+ in terms of its ability to adapt to changing production needs allows the production company to adjust its electrical infrastructure dynamically. This adaptability has been key to accommodating the various set configurations and the specific demands of the music training centre.
- Commitment to sustainability: The implementation of the SLC CUBE3+ reflects the production company’s commitment to sustainable practices and operating costs by ensuring efficient operation and protecting the equipment from damage that could lead to premature replacement.
Salicru has supplied dozens of DC systems to the Neom project, including DC converters and rectifiers. The project’s aim is to create the city of the future: one which is designed to be a model of sustainability, innovation and progress for the rest of the world.
The data centre in Sant Cugat del Vallès (Barcelona) has a total power of 4 MW with capabilities to expand up to 8 MW. A total of six SLC ADAPT2 units are currently providing power backup for all the IT infrastructure and ancillary services at the site.
This project further strengthens Salicru’s position as a leader in energy solutions and reinforces its standing in the railway market. As part of a commitment to innovation and safety, Salicru has been selected to install devices in all interlockings not yet equipped with modular Uninterruptible Power Supply Systems (UPS).
