It will install 9.000 units of lighting flow dimmer-stabilizers in the 300 main municipalities of Tunisia, that will allow an annual saving of 5 million Euros.
The power electronic company Salicru has signed an agreement with the Ministry Of Interior of the Government of Tunisia to develop an energy saving based on the optimisation of the public street lighting in the 300 main municipalities of the country.
The contract contemplates the delivering, commissioning and start up – for 3 years period - of 9.000 lighting flow dimmer-stabilizer equipments for an amount of 24,5 millions Euros.
To be exact ,the Salicru’s equipments selected by the Tunisian Government are the ILUEST series, which allow reaching an average energy saving of 40%, both in the reduction of lighting consumption and an important decreasing of the maintenance costs of the discharge lamps.
The lighting flow dimmer-stabilizers have been designed to stabilize the power supply in an easy and fast way; to reduce the energy losses, to guarantee the lighting flow of the discharge lamps, and to facilitate a local and/or remote communication of the main important parameters of the equipment, in order to control and set it (Telemanagement).
The project ordered to Salicru, will allow an annual economic saving of 4.929.750 euros and an annual energy saving of 197.197 MWh, this saved energy could illuminate the 24 main cities of the country for more than one year. In addition to the energy consumption, the installation of these equipments will also avoid the emission of 108.455 Tm of CO2 per year.
The direct beneficiaries of this project are the 6,4 millions people that lives in the 300 municipalities, where the lighting flow dimmer-stabilizers of Salicru will be installed gradually.
