The ICT sector has transformed the way we live, learn and work. With the current economic situation and the priority to reduce costs in both the public and private sectors, the time has come to use the ability to measure, monitor and control what information and communication technology can offer to reduce energy expenditure in all areas of an organisation.
Salicru participated alongside other companies from the enerTIC platform in the presentation of the second edition of ‘Reference Guide: ICT for the improvement of energy competitiveness’ at the Smart City Expo World Congress 2013 held in Barcelona.
The expert groups in which Salicru participates have placed special emphasis on the attitude of business leaders towards the use of these technologies which drive their organisations into a continuous process of innovation to reduce energy consumption and provide more competitive services: using new technology solutions, reflecting on their processes, developing best practices and including in their strategic plans indicators and metrics for improving energy efficiency in line with EU recommendations.
Salicru has contributed its know-how to the field of energy efficient street lighting for over 20 years and recently explained its latest projects for the municipalities of Rivas-Vaciamadrid, Vitoria, Malaga and Barcelona, among others.
Encouraging the development of new technologies that contribute to more responsible energy consumption is, without any doubt, one of the engines that drives Salicru’s business strategy. Since its founding in 2011, enerTIC has been an ideal forum for Salicru to actively participate in a collaborative and cross-disciplinary manner with other companies, associations and government bodies in favour of a more competitive and sustainable economy.
