The installation of Uninterruptible Power Supply Systems (UPS) with innovative lithium-ion batteries is becoming increasingly common in our market. This is the case of the equipment supplied to the Pharmaceutical Federation (FEDEFARMA), the main distributor of products for pharmacies in Catalonia and Valencia, with more than 95 million units supplied each year.
Specifically, a UPS from the SLC X-TRA series equipped with lithium-ion batteries has been installed for the new FEDEFARMA automated logistics centre in Palau de Plegamans (Barcelona), which is operational 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Among other advantages, these batteries store more energy in less space, provide greater energy efficiency, offer a higher energy profile and require zero maintenance.
The SLC X-TRA UPS with 800 kVA of power supplied, offers 10 minutes of autonomy and its main function will be to guarantee the continuity and maximum quality of the energy supply in your installations at all times.
It is one of the most reliable and best performing three-phase UPSs currently available on the market. Based on the VFI operation mode, it has been developed in double conversion technology using IGBT and DSP control, achieving significant savings in running costs and offering top level protection to the connected loads.
For the energy protection of the equipment in the offices of the same centre, different UPS units from the following series have also been supplied: SLC CUBE4 and SLC X-PERT series UPS units, of 10 and 100 kVA, respectively.
All installed equipment is equipped with the Nimbus-cloud function for 24-hour/365-day monitoring and continuous analysis of the performance of the protection provided.
