Salicru has installed advanced Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems on Gewan Island in Qatar, which spans 400,000 square meters and features a blend of residential, commercial, and luxury entertainment areas.
Salicru’s UPS systems provide a continuous energy backup, ensuring the uninterrupted operation of essential services in this artificial development located 350 meters off the coast of Doha, an extension of The Pearl, the Qatari capital’s luxury resort. Recently, Salicru completed the commissioning of UPS systems for the data centre that supports the complex, which includes over 50 villas, 500 apartments, various shops, a golf course, and the central five-star hotel, the Corinthia Gewan Island Qatar Hotel.
The installation of state-of-the-art 90 kVA SLC ADAPT2 modular units with lithium batteries ensures the scalability of the infrastructure for future growth while keeping it operational 24x7 in the event of power outages and free from electrical disturbances.
In addition, these devices can be monitored using a remote maintenance system that allows them to be managed from a distance. This technology facilitates proactive fault detection, increasing efficiency and extending the service life of the units.
