Salicru has signed a maintenance contract with the Fnac shopping chain for all Uninterruptible Power Supply systems (UPS) currently protecting the computer system in the company’s 24 centres around Spain. The agreement includes both the company’s and all other band UPS, adding up to a total of 50, generally three-phase, units.
Europe’s leading distributor in technical and cultural products with more than 150 establishments around France, Spain, Portugal, Switzerland, Belgium, Morocco and Brazil has entrusted Salicru with the electrical protection of its network of shops in Spain since 2008. The installed equipment belongs to the SLC CUBE3 series, conceived with maximum efficiency and energy-saving criteria. In powers ranging from 7.5 to 200 kVA, they have a highly compact format which largely facilitates their location, and are made using more than 60% of recyclable materials. Similarly, for highly critical installations or which need to be expanded, the equipment can be configured in parallel-redundant systems without any need for additional hardware.
Like all electronic equipment, the UPS requires periodic maintenance to guarantee the best performance in the face of network disturbances and optimal stabilisation and protection from the first to the last day, thus guaranteeing equipment security over the years. The more than 700,000 units in operation in business and industrial environments in highly diverse places have given Salicru the experience and knowledge they require to be able to offer solutions in the form of consultancy, engineering, design, manufacturing and management tailored to the needs of the customer.
This kind of service offers added value for customers by providing permanent, personalised and close advice from the Salicru experts’ team, 50 technicians distributed around Spain and Portugal, all with the utmost rigour and commitment.
For Salicru, the maintenance service is an important business area with linear growth of 7% in recent years and more than 1,300 contracts currently in force, covering a fleet of 3,600 units which are mainly UPS.
