Since the end of 2007, when Salicru made a decided effort to intensify its presence on the Portuguese market, sales have increased by 100%. The expectations for the coming year are for an increase of an additional 75% more. 

This growth is based on the creation of a solid distribution structure giving effective response to the largest possible area; and signing agreements with the main electrical distribution networks and computer wholesalers. The Salicru action plan for Portugal set a goal of establishing 30 new points of sale between the electricity and computer sectors over the next 3 or 4 financial years, and 16 have been achieved during the first year. 

Thanks to the work done during the last year, Salicru products are now responsible for the electrical protection of companies and organisations such as: Caixa Economic-Montepio Geral, Aeropuertos Navegaçao Aérea (ANA), the Portuguese Air Force, Portuguese Oncology Institute, Municipal Chambers, etc. 

In the mid-term, this new strategy is expected to attain a 20% market share in the Portuguese market.
