Salicru has opened a new warehouse built next to its production centre in Palautordera (Barcelona). This modern facility will house the company’s logistics, storage, inventory and product distribution functions. Its construction involved an investment of 2 million euros and five new jobs have been created.
Boasting an area of 2,500 square metres, the new building has the capacity to house around 3,000 pallets with products ready for distribution to the national and international markets.
With the aim of optimising its performance, Salicru will use business intelligence technologies to implement a warehouse management system that will direct all of the operations of the new centre. This system will be able to adapt easily to business changes, the incorporation of new processes and increases in demand and sales.
The construction of this modern building will free up 900 square metres of the production centre, space that will be used to expand production areas to increase current industrial capacity.
As a whole, Salicru’s facilities at its site in Santa María de Palautordera occupy an area of 15,000 square metres and house its production, sales, technical and corporate activities, as well as its research and development.
