The end of March saw the opening of the Malaga Pompidou Centre - a new landmark in the world of art - which covers more than 6,000 square metres and houses works by artists as important as Pablo Picasso, Frida Kahlo, René Magritte and Alberto Giacometti.
Salicru has contributed to the protection that a pictorial space as unique as this requires, supplying, through Cobra Instalaciones, a total of 10 UPS systems from its SLC CUBE3+ series of 7.5 to 20 kVA to ensure that the centre’s different facilities and services function properly.
This is the second art museum space in Malaga in which Salicru has been involved, the first being the Carmen Thyssen Museum (opened in 2011), which features various uninterruptible power supply systems supplied by the company.
The SLC CUBE3+ series is one of the latest innovations that Salicru has launched onto the market for professional environments. Conceived with the criteria of maximum efficiency and energy savings in mind, it provides a reliable and high-quality power supply. With a power range from 7.5 to 200 kVA, this three-phase UPS with on-line, double conversion technology (VFI) offers protection and security for a large range of facilities, such as data centres, hosting, housing, IT networks, server farms, voice and data networks, critical industrial processes and financial and infrastructural services.
The efficiency achieved reaches 95% in on-line mode and 98% in smart Eco-mode, which produces significant energy consumption savings and reduces the need for air conditioning. In addition, in complying with the eco-efficiency commitments adopted by the company, recyclable materials account for more than 80% of their composition.
