Salicru has just signed a commercial agreement with the company Abertis for the installation of 40 Iluest+ lighting flow dimmer-stabilisers in the tolls on the Catalan motorway network. Abertis is the leading company in the motorway sector and is directly responsible for over 1,500 km, almost 60% of all toll roads. This is not a new customer for Salicru, which has long supplied them equipment for street lighting on the road network in other geographical areas such as Aragon and the Basque Country.
Projects like this contribute to consolidate the Iluest/Iluest+ as the most sustainable option for street lighting. In addition to their safety and greater reliability in stabilising voltage and reducing the lighting flow, they contribute to extending the useful life of lighting equipment in the streets and enable smart management of the public lighting with savings of up to 40% on the electricity bill.
The installed Iluest+ units have a slot and optional Sicres card for remote communications, a device which along with the GPRS modem makes up a high-level Internet connection telemanagement system. The intuitive user interface allows a whole fleet of equipment to be monitored, parameterised and controlled by including zonal cartography for rapid location of the different Iluest+ units, programming the sending of alarms and measurements in real time by e-mail and/or SMS, and the creation of a log of events and monthly reports, amongst other things.
In the last fifteen years, Salicru has installed more than 15,000 Iluest/Iluest+ lighting flow dimmer-stabilisers for public lighting in Spain, with potential energy savings of over 558,000 MWh a year, equivalent to a reduction in CO2 emissions of over 130,000 tonnes, and economic savings of more than 50 million euros. It has now become the benchmark technology in the large part of lighting projects, and is used in countries such as China, France, Poland, Tunisia and Morocco.
