Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems have been installed in two facilities of this Spanish government body, based in Madrid, to protect data centres and critical services within its infrastructure.
In institutional environments, the availability of digital systems must be permanent, so any electrical interruption that may affect both internal operations and citizen services must be avoided. Data centres and auxiliary services require scalable, redundant solutions capable of operating without interruption. The solution implemented at the facilities is based on modular SLC Adapt2 Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) systems, two of them rated at 400 kW with parallel configurations, and another at 500 kW with an additional 200 kW supporting the infrastructure. This architecture allows adaptation to different load levels and facilitates both redundancy and future expansion of the installation.
Thanks to their online double-conversion technology and modular design, these systems ensure continuous protection against blackouts, micro-outages and electrical disturbances. As part of the Salicru Services catalogue, commissioning of the equipment was contracted, including wired connection to the battery banks included in the project.
