Questions about software

1. We access the salicru website
2. Click on Products > UPS – Uninterruptible Power Supply
3. Once inside, select the series and model > +info.
4. We click on the Software tab and select the option corresponding to our operating system, where we can also download the UPS manual. In our case, we will download installViewPower_Windows.
5. We unzip the .zip file (unzip into a folder)
6. We will double-click and run as administrator. Next, a window will open where we are notified of the installation of software that wants to make changes to our computer, and in which we will proceed to press Yes.

7. We put the path where we want > Next to install (we recommend using the default folder)

1. value="8">We choose whether we want to create a ViewPower shortcut on the desktop.

9. The program installation begins.

10. Once the installation is finished, click on the Done button.

12. We will verify that, in the taskbar, the ViewPower icon is displayed as shown in the image.
• If displayed with a green circle (service is active)
• If displayed with a red cross (the service is not active)

In order to make changes to the program settings, you need to log in as an administrator.

• To log in as an Administrator we have to click on the "Login" button at the top. The default password is "administrator".

• Open the ViewPower.
• Then we access as an administrator in the menu in the upper right corner and select log in. The default password is: administrator.
• We will go to UPS MENU > Configuration of > Email/Email.
• If you use office365 mail, you must manually fill in the different sections. In the SMTP Server section we enter smtp.office365.com and in Port: 587. In the Send from section, you must indicate your email, email username in Username (email address) and Password authentication required. Next, we indicate the email address to which we want to receive emails in Email.
• Click Apply to save your changes.

• If you use Gmail mail, you must manually fill in the different sections. In the SMTP Server section we enter smtp.gmail.com, in Port: 465 and SSL. In the Send from section, you must indicate your email, email username in Username (email address) and Password authentication required. Next, we indicate the email address to which we want to receive emails in Email.

NOTE: We recommend creating a new Gmail account for UPS email notifications.

• In order to be able to send alerts by email, we must first access the security options of our Gmail account.
• Turn off the two-step security option.
• Turn on the option to allow access to less secure applications.
• We must click on Apply to save the changes.

• The mobile messaging function is available but requires a component that has to be purchased separately.

• Go to www.salicru.com
• From the top menu bar, select “Technical Support”, and then “Online Support” from the drop down menu.
• If you do not have an account, click “Sign up here”.
• Fill in the form with your details to sign up.
• If sign up is successful, you will receive a message to the email address you gave during sign up.

• We select Products > UPS – uninterruptible power supply and search for our product.
• Enter the models section and once you have chosen your UPS you click on the +info button.
• We will click on "Software" and a list of software according to operating system will appear, where we can also download the software manual.
• We will download Viewpower for MAC (depending on version).
• Unzip the file and an executable will appear. Right-click and then select "Open".
• Start the installer, the installation wizard will appear. To continue we do...

• To finish the installation, click on "Done".

• We can see that a Viewpower menu appears:
• Your icon on your desktop.
• To open the monitor of our UPS, we just have to click on the Viewpower menu "Open Monitor" or simply double-click on the Viewpower icon.

• As ViewPower does not feature in Apple Store’s official repositories, you will have to configure your MAC to allow the program to be installed. To do so:
• Open “System Preferences” and go to “Security and Privacy”, where you have to log in, and in “Allow applications downloaded from”, select “anywhere”.

• Before you can turn off your remote computer, you must have ViewPower installed.
• Open ViewPower.
• Click on the "UPS settings" top menu tab > "Local shutdown" and enable the "Accept remote systems shutdown order" option.

• Enter the IPs of the PCs you want to shut down remotely and click "Add".

• To log in as Administrator, click "Login" at the top.
• If you do not and you try to make changes to the default settings, it will automatically ask you to log in by entering the Administrator’s password.
• The default password is “administrator”.

• To do this we will open Viewpower.
• In the top menu, in the "UPS MENU" section, choose the option "Settings" and email.
• If you use office365 mail, you must manually fill in the different sections. In the "SMTP Server" section we enter "smtp.office365.com", in "Port": "587" and choose the TLS option. In the "Send from" section, you must enter your email, email username in "Username" (email address) and "Password authentication required" and enter it. Next, we indicate the email address to which we want to receive "Email" emails.
• We must click on "Apply" to save the changes.

• If you use Gmail mail, you must manually fill in the different sections.
• In the "SMTP Server" section we enter "smtp.gmail.com", in "Port": "465" and choose the SSL option.
• In the "Send from" section, you must enter your email, email username in "Username" (email address) and "Password authentication required" and enter it.
• Next, we indicate the email address to which we want to receive "Email" emails.
• We must click on "Apply" to save the changes.

5. Select Ctrl + Alt + T, enter the downloads folder. We unzip the .tar.gz file with tar -xzvf nomdelfitxer.tar.gz and it will generate a file .bin

6. We enter super user mode with sudo su

7. Execute: ./installViewPower_Linux_x86_64.bin (Do not close this tab of the terminal until the installation is finished).

8. Once the installation command has been executed, the installation wizard (Wizard) will appear. To continue click on Next

9. We put the path where we want > Next to install (we recommend using the default folder)

10. We will choose the location of the shortcuts in the start menu.

11. Check that everything is correct > Install

12. Once the installation is finished, click on the Done button.

1. Press Ctrl + Alt + T to enter the Terminal and once inside access as Administrator with the command "sudo su".
2. Then we enter with cd/ and access the Viewpower directory, in our case cd home/salicru/ViewPower/.

40. Once inside the Viewpower directory, we run the service with the ./upsMonitor start command.

41. Finally, open your browser and access the address or paste localhost:15178/.
