Salicru participates in the largest photovoltaic park in Europe

Renewable energy parks are a market in which Salicru is increasingly present with its products. On this occasion, the novelty is the supply of different rectifiers to Núñez de Balboa in Extremadura (Spain), currently considered the largest photovoltaic solar park in Europe.

 

The devices supplied are from the DC POWER-L series, a range of rectifiers/battery chargers based on microprocessor-controlled thyristor technology, providing high-quality and reliable protection for critical DC loads.

 

These rectifiers will be activated in the power substations associated with the park that Iberdrola, a historical client of Salicru, is currently building in Usagre (Badajoz). This is the largest solar development in Europe, with a capacity of 500 MW which, after its entry into operation in 2020, will generate enough electricity to supply 250,000 people, a volume greater than the population of the cities of Cáceres and Badajoz.
