SALICRU's solar inverter range EquinoxLV is based in a fitting idea within solar field different to that used currently using lower DC Voltage ranks.Models
Inverters usually use high DC voltage to ease inverter's work-out, allowing cost decrease plus increasing performance. Nevertheless, EquinoxLV inverter range, due to Pulse Step inverter technology, is able to work with low Voltage use advantages without giving up best photovoltaic inverter current market handy features.
Main technology's working advantage is that allows to achieve similar features using lower Voltage up to typical ones. Thus, failure detection within photovoltaic field is greatly simplified avoiding slow and complex maintenance processes which generate additional costs.
Photovoltaic unit connections done to allow working under such Voltage, making mainly parallel connections, dependent on module-wise Voltage.
This inverter is thought to work upon any module kind, thin film and cristaline. If thin film modules used, having greater Voltage than crystal ones, it is possible to do massive parallel connect, thus being Paralex system compatible. Such connection type shows various advantages related to higher Voltage traditional system connect.
It is shown with 5000 W power being 2 Versions depending upon input Voltage ranks:
- EquinoxLV60: 60 Vdc nominal Voltage. MPPT 50-95Vdc Voltage rank.
- EquinoxLV85: 85Vdc nominal Voltage. MPPT 70-130Vdc Voltage rank.
Its parallel set-up allows to do high power installations without endangering production facing possible failures in specific sectors.
Both models allow high quality Alternating Current (AC) for grid connection, with power factors over 0,99 and total harmony distortion under 2%.
In most cases transformers are heaviest part, while failures mainly located within power electronics. Arranging equipment with such structure, we simplify at a maximum maintenance and repair operations in case of breakdown, for only power unit replaced without great interventions need.
Paralex: Massive Parallel Thin Film module connect.
Paralex is an idea where Thin Film modules are massive parallel connect, simplifying system design plus increasing performance.
Parallel modules connection create a suitable working Voltage to use SALICRU's EquinoxLV inverters, thus profiting ad maximum its features.
Thin film units engender more energy with warmer temperatures plus diffuse or indirect light, due to lower temperature coefficients and its greater light sensitivity, reaching 8 to 10% more subject to placing.
Due to better taking in diffuse or indirect light property, it allows to adapt units to own roofing slope, without aiming structure need, thus reducing installation costs. In ground set-ups, panels can be less stooped to profit maximum available space.
If thin film modules are parallel connected, we achieve that module working is not rest system modules dependant. This connection improves energy output in-between 3 and 10%.
Thus, if there is a module which generates less % energy than the rest, be it because of dirt, debasement, manufacturing tolerances, etc..., does not affect system units rest.
Such feature greatly expedites installation design so that it is not needed to avoid partially shadowed areas having minimum impact within total. This allows to profit much better available space.
Not having series/parallel connection, there is no need to calculate series for all are parallel connect.
